We are a new church with a God vision for both Australia and the Nations.
We want to see people, families, towns, cities, regions and nations both transformed and restored into all that God has for each one. For us the days of just doing church are over – it’s time for true and lasting transformation; it’s time for new life and new births; it’s time to see restoration and walk in all that God has for us…
It has to start in us (God’s people), and in our hearts before God – that the Holy Spirit would both fan a fresh passion for Jesus within us and also set us apart afresh for His purposes in these days. There is so much more – but it is all to flow from the place of ‘first love’…
A Shaking going on…
We believe that the Spirit of God is shaking so much at the moment, right across the globe. Hebrews 12:26-28 talks about God shaking the heavens and the earth once more, to reveal the things of the Kingdom which cannot be shaken. There is so much going on at present, and so we rejoice in God and look forward with expectation for God to reveal the more that is ahead in these days. It’s time for the people of God to arise and shine. It’s time indeed for the sons of God to be revealed (Romans 8:14; Romans 8:19).
Some other thoughts…
For us, it’s not about presentation, nor programs, nor about keeping up appearances (performance), but about the presence of God and people. After all, the true way to disciple people is relationally – not with programs. We believe that it’s time for every member ministry. The day of the leaders doing the ministry is over, it’s instead about the leaders equipping, empowering and releasing the people to walk grow and minister in the grace of God (Ephesians 4:11-12). Two keys in this are intimacy and identity. God’s people walking in intimacy with Him day by day, where we walk in the place of ‘First Love’ that Jesus talked about. And identity. God’s people knowing who they are in Christ and who Christ is in them, as they walk in the fullness of all that God has done for us!
Importantly, the Presence of God is not confined to a building, or a timeslot, and it’s time to worship Him 24/7. It’s time for a heart reformation, for hearts to return to the Lord. Jesus said that from this place of abiding, that we will bear much fruit (John 15:5; John 15:8). It’s not us going and doing things for God, but rather, allowing the Lord to reign in and move through us to bring healing, restoration etc.
It’s about the Kingdom of God, not a particular local church. In fact much of our ‘church’ thinking entraps us and we miss out on the fullness of what the Lord has for us both collectively and individually. It’s time for the Lord to reign, to see His Kingdom come into situations, lives and geographical areas. We are on a journey into this. We read in Scripture that the Kingdom of God is not about talk, but about love and power. We don’t need to go looking for it, because for those who are ‘born again’ the Kingdom is within!
We desire to see a return to the Lord with all our hearts and recapture what it means to be whole hearted followers of Jesus. This is a journey, but a journey worth undertaking. Yes there will be challenges along the way, but as we seek the Lord and follow Him, He will be faithful in every way. Why not pray, and join us in this journey?
Let us behold the Lord Himself, seeking Him, hearing His voice and following Him as we move into 2012. God’s blessings and grace upon you all.
